Mateus Almeida's warm wood desk setup — Austria
In their own words
I think that if you want to improve your workspace, focus on minimizing distractions so you can get more done. Try to also pick quality stuff over things that are going to easily break or make you less productive. For example, investing in a good ergonomic chair and building an ergonomic setup are key to a sustainable workspace. Take into mind the amount of time we spend during our lifetime sitting or in front of a screen...investing in yourself will certainly bring good results to your daily life and workflow. Having a monitor arm has also improved my workflow - shout out to HEXCAL for their amazing product. Don't forget cable management too! Avoid clutter, please.

Observation notes
I think that if you want to improve your workspace, focus on minimizing distractions so you can get more done.
Mateus Almeida's Austria setup is edited down to what stays out: no cable clutter, no extra hardware crowding the desk, just a Mac Studio, an LG monitor on a Hexcal arm, and an orange leather desk mat under a Magic Keyboard and mouse. A pair of bronze-ringed bookshelf speakers frame the screen — one flanked by a leafy plant, the other by a black resin dinosaur skull on a stand, the single ornamental note in an otherwise disciplined room.
Warm tan acoustic wall panels and a curved LED bar behind the monitor do the ambient lighting work without adding anything to the desk surface itself. It is a setup built around Almeida's stated priority: fewer distractions, and quality gear chosen to last rather than to impress — the monitor arm gets a direct shout-out in his own notes.
