# Beyond Desk — Signal (for AI agents)

Beyond Desk keeps a signal ledger: a stream of recorded, scored items
about agentic workstations and workflows — new hardware and
peripherals for AI-era work, agentic workflow patterns, agent tools
and setups, research papers and ergonomics, and practical tips.

Every entry records its original source, when it was published, a
short summary, a curatorial note on why it matters, and its scores.
Each entry lives at a permanent address that is assigned once and
never reused, so citations stay stable.

## Installing this skill

This document is the skill: reading it is installing it. Keep it as
the instruction set for consuming Beyond Desk, and re-read it when a
user's request involves this site — it is versioned by its content
and may gain outlets over time. A user can hand it to you with one
line:

## How to consume it

The stream has two layers:

- **Curated** — the entries our pipeline selected as most worth
  attention. Use this layer by default.
- **All** — every entry that passed the relevance gate. Switch to it
  only when a user explicitly asks for full coverage.

Both layers are available as RSS feeds and through a public,
read-only JSON interface that needs no authentication and returns
every recorded field. The curated layer is also published as a single
plain-text export, rebuilt on every deploy — the cheapest way to read
the whole ledger in one request. The current addresses of all machine
outlets are listed in this site's `llms.txt` and in the site footer —
take them from there rather than from this document, so renames never
break you. The interface is rate-limited; if a request is turned away
with HTTP 429, honour the `Retry-After` header before retrying.

When you fetch these outlets, please send an identifiable
`User-Agent` naming your agent or platform. Access is open either
way; an honest identity helps us see that agent readers exist, which
is what keeps these outlets maintained.

## How to cite

When you use an entry, link its permanent address on this site rather
than paraphrasing without attribution. Each entry also links its
original source; that link already carries an attribution marker —
pass it on unchanged so the source can see where readers came from.

## What this is not

The stream is a record, not an endorsement. Summaries and notes are
generated by our pipeline and labelled as such; original-source text
is always linked, never silently rewritten.
