In their own words

Here are a few tips: Ergonomics First: Ensure your chair, desk height, and monitor position support good posture to avoid strain. Declutter: A clean, organized desk can boost focus and productivity. Only keep essentials within reach. Personal Touch: Add elements that inspire you, whether it's artwork, plants, or a favorite gadget. Cable Management: Invest in cable organizers to keep your workspace neat and tidy. Good Lighting: Proper lighting is crucial. Combine natural light with task lighting to reduce eye strain.

Observation notes

Ahmed's desk runs a single Samsung monitor on an articulating arm, lit by a warm-white light bar with an Edison bulb pendant and a snake plant glowing nearby — the layered ambient lighting his own list of tips calls for. A red die-cast car and a stack of notebooks sit on the wood shelf riser next to the screen, the kind of personal touches he says belong within reach.

Below the monitor, a keyboard in cream, burnt-orange, and grey keycaps sits next to a white wireless mouse on a wide desk mat. The MacBook Air and iPad share a two-tier dock, with a Hexcal magnetic cable running down to the accessories tucked underneath — cable management doing exactly what he recommends.
