Stéphane Bolduc's warm wood desk setup — Ontario, Canada
In their own words
Start with a simple list of what you want to achieve with the space. Make notes of what you want to use the space for, and what kind of tech will help you optimize your workflow. If you have access to modeling softwares, I also recommend test-fitting a few options before committing to building something in the real world, but a pencil and grid paper works just fine too!

Observation notes
Start with a simple list of what you want to achieve with the space.
Stéphane Bolduc's corner desk sits inside a bay window overlooking dense green trees, and the same photo of a mossy rock waterfall spans every screen in the room — laptop, iPad, and two flanking monitors — turning four separate displays into one continuous panorama. It's the kind of detail only an architect and designer would bother to line up.
The plywood desk itself has the same designed-object quality: rounded corners, exposed edge-grain, built to fit the window bay rather than dropped into a generic room. A boom mic swings in from one side, a ceramic mug and a small succulent sit in the window ledge, and a leather deskmat under a wireless keyboard and mouse keeps the actual work surface uncluttered.
Bolduc's own process — list what the space needs to do, sketch it, test-fit before building — is visible in a desk this precisely resolved. Nothing here reads improvised.
