Kevin Walton's warm wood desk setup — Ontario, Canada
In their own words
When it comes to a workspace. The biggest question you need to ask yourself is “What works for me? And if it doesn't, why?” I think when it comes to crafting your setup, we can waste money on things we don’t really need. Find the things that you really need, as those will bring you the value you need. If you think you really really need that Apple Pro Display XDR because you know it will help you with photo editing, then get it. Because clearly you know what you are going to use it for, therefore it’s worth the value, and will be a big investment to your work.

Observation notes
When it comes to a workspace.
Kevin's dual Apple Studio Displays sit on a wood shelf riser under a gallery wall of black-and-white prints — sneakers hanging from a wire, an old factory building, a "Dream Big" print tucked into the corner. Two Edison bulb lamps carry all the light in the room, warm against the walnut desktop.
AirPods Max rest on a stand next to a Logitech speaker, with a mechanical keyboard and a cold-brew cup close at hand. He treats the desk as a series of considered purchases, not a wishlist — buy the thing you actually know you'll use, and let that be reason enough.
