Floating Stars's dark desk setup — Beijing, China
In their own words
Your work environment is crucial. Choose equipment that you genuinely like and that has both high quality and a good texture. This will enhance your work efficiency and improve your mood. Avoid focusing solely on cost-effectiveness, as it can sometimes lead to regrettable compromises.

Observation notes
Your work environment is crucial.
Floating Stars' Nanoleaf triangles shift from amber to blue between shots, lighting a wall that pairs a Pink Floyd *Dark Side of the Moon* print with a Freddie Mercury live shot — music references framing a desk built around Genelec studio monitors on both sides of the display. A backlit acrylic sign spelling out the handle in Chinese sits on the shelf between them.
A retro white controller and a matching white keycap keyboard keep the palette consistent across the desk, whatever the monitor is showing — a Monkey King game one moment, a satellite orbiting Earth the next. Every piece earns its spot the way his own notes insist: buy for quality and texture, not just for what's cheap.
