DETE's ultra-minimal white setup — Seoul

S·0073 · DETE · Seoul, Korea · 2026

In their own words

I keep my desk extremely minimal because the more items you place on a desk, the harder it becomes to design a clean and cohesive layout. Too many products can clash with each other, so I eliminated that problem entirely by building an ultra-minimal setup. For me, “minimal” pairs best with a white color palette, so almost everything on my desk is in white tones. Cable management also becomes much easier when you reduce the number of devices, which helps keep the whole workspace simple and tidy.

Observation notes

DETE is a Seoul-based product designer with a clear thesis on desk building: every item added makes the layout harder to unify, so he solved the problem by removing items until it stopped being a problem. White palette throughout — 'minimal pairs best with white,' he says — and cable management that nearly runs itself once the device count drops low enough.
