Pipeline notes
The summary and note below are generated by the signal pipeline — they are Beyond Desk’s reading, not quotations from the source.
SummaryA developer built Kinesis, a macOS tool that reads sEMG signals from a Meta Neural Band to enable gesture-based desktop control, including desktop swiping, Mission Control, and a virtual volume knob. Open-sourced as a proof of concept tested only on the author.
Why it mattersFirsthand reverse engineering of Meta's neural band sEMG stream for Mac input. Open-source PoC; narrow audience today but plants a flag for EMG as a workstation control layer.
