SummaryEmpirical analysis of 5,851 coding agent sessions and 355,942 tool calls finds that self-generated post-task reports cover roughly one in eleven actions, and that reports drift from actual execution (not from the plan) as plans are abandoned during work.
Why it mattersDevelopers reading agent summaries should calibrate: those reports carry about a fifth of the action log and shift with execution, not with stated plans — worth knowing before trusting self-reports.
