SummaryA dual-sensor mouse is used to simulate cursor trajectories for different sensor placements. Path straightness, measured as mean absolute error versus an ideal line, identifies the user's optimal sensor position. Preliminary results show calibration time dropping from about one hour to five minutes.
Why it mattersFirsthand arXiv research on mouse ergonomics with a concrete time-saving calibration method, though the dual-sensor hardware and preliminary nature limit immediate reuse.
