SummaryFleetScape is a mixed reality sandtable system for supervising autonomous drone fleets. The paper presents a high-fidelity building inspection simulation and a user study with six experienced pilots managing up to 15 drones. Findings show the system supports situational awareness and control transitions, though awareness degrades as fleet size grows.
Why it mattersNiche HCI paper on an MR interface for drone operators. Useful design notes for swarm supervision UIs, but small sample and narrow domain limit broader reach.
