SummaryResearch paper presenting TrailLM, a system that helps users reconstruct and revisit their exploration paths during LLM-based exploratory search, aiming to support reflection and metacognition rather than only delivering rapid answers.
Why it mattersConcrete design pattern for LLM-mediated search tools: treats the exploration history itself as a first-class artifact users can revisit and reflect on.
