In their own words
My starting idea was to build a dark, tech-style gaming desk, so a bare white wall wouldn't do; between paint and wall covering I chose the latter. These stick-on felt acoustic panels decorate the wall and absorb sound (no fear of disturbing the neighbors while gaming), and they barely damage the wall — great for renters or anyone whose studio needs to be restored later. For lighting I chose modular light panels and LED strips. The panels can be freely assembled into whatever pattern you like, and they're bright enough to light the room even with the ceiling light off. The strip runs along the desk edge to light the area behind it. I put the aquarium-style PC tower on a rolling cart beside the desk to free up desktop space, with wheels underneath for easy moving. The desk uses a monitor riser that both hides cables and conceals another light strip for extra atmosphere. On the floor are carpet tiles — easy to maintain and easy to take when moving; stick one on where needed, peel it off to clean, and the covered area can expand freely. Very convenient. I strongly recommend wall and floor upgrades to newcomers — they cost relatively little yet greatly lift the whole setup's atmosphere.

Observation notes
星奇六 designed this dark tech-gaming setup with renters in mind. Felt acoustic panels cover the walls — peel off cleanly when moving out, absorb game audio so neighbors stay unbothered, and anchor the deep-teal atmosphere that defines the whole space. Nanoleaf triangle panels replace overhead lighting entirely; they're modular, not drilled in. The PC tower lives on a rolling cart beside the desk, freeing the surface and keeping the primary zone uncluttered.
