bisonrx's Ultrawide Setup Bridges Engineering Work and Gaming in One Dark, Cinematic Workspace

S·0179 · bisonrx · Southport, United Kingdom · 2026

In their own words

My setup is designed to be a versatile space where productivity, technology and gaming all come together. With my ultrawide monitor, additional screens and custom PC, I can multitask, work on projects, learn new skills and switch straight into gaming when it’s time to unwind. I’ve tried to make the most of the space while keeping everything within reach, from my keyboard and Stream Deck to my controllers and other accessories. It’s a setup that reflects my love of technology and having everything I need in one place. The next step would be to improve the ergonomics and organisation even further, which is why the Hexcal Studio Plus desktop stand would be a fantastic addition.

Observation notes

An ultrawide anchor, additional screens, and a custom PC turn a single desk into a space where productivity, technology, and gaming all converge, held together by a dark, cinematic mood.

bisonrx, an Application Engineer based in Southport, United Kingdom, describes the rig as a versatile station where multitasking, project work, and learning sit one input switch away from evening gaming. The ultrawide monitor does the heavy lifting across those modes, with the extra displays extending the surface for whatever the day requires, while a custom PC sits at the core. Keyboard, Stream Deck, controllers, and accessories are kept within reach so the swap between work and play stays frictionless.

The room reads as a personal statement about loving technology and wanting everything in one place, with the dark-cinematic aesthetic shaping how the hardware is arranged rather than naming specific pieces of equipment. There is no claim of a finished state; bisonrx points instead at the next step, improving ergonomics and organisation, and names the Hexcal Studio Plus desktop stand as the piece that would carry that refinement forward.

The setup reflects an owner who treats the desk as a long-term project, iterating on layout and feel rather than chasing a single endpoint.
