In their own words
My setup doubles as my homeoffice - the docking station is hidden with only the connection cable showing up on the desk. I switch my webcam between the two PCs via an USB hub (also hidden), but it features a wireless remote control. All RGB and other lights in the room are smart and can controlled via Amazon Echo (Alexa).

Observation notes
Katakombcat is an IT professional from Wetzlar who built this setup around one principle: the infrastructure should be invisible. The docking station is tucked out of sight — only a single cable surfaces on the desk. A concealed USB hub lets the webcam switch between the custom PC and ThinkPad T14s via wireless remote, no replugging required. Every light in the room, from the Govee strips to the Umage Aluvia lamp, is Alexa-controlled.
