Six entries landed in the curated layer over the past two weeks that read like separate product announcements until they are placed side by side. Together they describe one move: the coding agent is being wired into the places where teams already talk, not the places where code is typed.

The product half of the record. GitHub made §its background cloud agent for Linear generally available (signal evidence entry G·1027) — an issue can be assigned to the agent the way it would be assigned to a colleague, and the work happens off-screen. The coding agent Amp §now answers to an @-mention in Slack (signal evidence entry G·0854), taking bug reports and production questions from inside the thread where they were raised. GitHub Issues gained §automation controls that show an agent's reasoning for each label, assignee, or closure before it is applied (signal evidence entry G·1023), and GitHub Mobile §lets a reviewer hand a failing Actions check to the agent from a phone (signal evidence entry G·1022).

The practice half. A long report from inside Anthropic describes §AI taking on a growing share of code review and testing while two-pizza teams stay the unit of organization (signal evidence entry G·1103) — the team shape holds, the keyboard time inside it shifts. And GitHub's §repository-level usage metrics for its coding agent went generally available (signal evidence entry G·0913): when a vendor ships a per-repo API for counting agent pull requests, someone is already asking for the numbers.

Note in the ledger: six entries make a direction, not a finished shift. But the direction is consistent — supervision surfaces are multiplying, and each new one (a thread, an issue, a phone screen) is one more place a person is watching work rather than doing it. The desk is where those surfaces still land in a single field of view. That is the part this site keeps records on.
